Located in beautiful Lancaster, California, our facility provides a comforting, secure environment where clients are treated with compassion and respect during their time in our care. Also, our certified specialists have spent years helping people overcome addictions so they understand the complex emotional and physical challenges a person experiences during recovery.
We are a fully licensed and JCAHO-accredited drug and alcohol rehab center and have worked hard to earn and maintain that status. Our goal is to ensure clients that we can provide the highest level of treatment available today. To accomplish that goal, we offer the following treatment options and programs.
Substance Abuse Intervention Program
At Design for Change Recovery, we realize there are various reasons why many people don’t seek addiction treatment. Some are in denial about the extent of their addiction. Others mistakenly believe they can quit on their own. In these cases, it is often necessary for family or friends to come together and convince the person to seek help. However, an intervention is a delicate process that can easily go awry.
To ensure that the desired results are achieved during an intervention, it’s best to seek professional advice beforehand. At Cycles for Change Recovery, we educate family members about the best approach for staging an intervention. Also, we assist family members in organizing and planning each step of the process to ensure a safe, effective outcome. Also, if none of the family members are comfortable leading the intervention, we will take the lead.
Drug and Alcohol Detox Treatment Program
Detoxification is the first step in addiction recovery. The process allows the body to eliminate all traces of the addictive substance to reduce cravings. Our detox program provides medical and psychiatric professionals to monitor the process and help the client manage withdrawal symptoms. The detox process may be done on an outpatient or inpatient basis. However, outpatient detox is mostly used for mild cases of addiction.
During detox, withdrawal symptoms vary depending on the substance involved and the duration of the addiction. For severe cases, medications are available to help minimize the withdrawal symptoms. At Design for Change Recovery, the detox process is monitored 24/7 by skilled, caring addiction specialists to ensure each client’s comfort and safety throughout the process.
After successfully completing detoxification, our clients are ready to enter the rehabilitation part of their treatment plan. In this stage of treatment, we help clients understand why they used drugs or alcohol in the first place. With this knowledge, they can develop methods to resist going down that dangerous road again.
Addiction Rehabilitation Treatment Program
At Design for Change Recovery, we offer clients a comprehensive range of treatment methods and options that focus on training and therapy. Clients participate in group therapy sessions as well as individual therapy. The goal of our treatment approach is to help clients change negative thought patterns and behaviors that contributed to their drug use. They also take part in various activities that help them gain the skills necessary for maintaining sobriety.
We believe an inpatient or residential program is the best option for most individuals who struggle with substance abuse. In a secure and comfortable environment, clients are safe from the negative influences in the outside world. Here they can relax and focus entirely on recovery.
The length of our inpatient program is based on the client’s needs but can last from 30 to 90 days. A few of the therapy options we offer in an inpatient program include:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Group and Individual Counseling
- Holistic Therapy
- Family Therapy
- First Responders Wellness Programs
Within those groups are a range of classes and activities to help clients improve self-esteem, gain confidence, and learn the skills for relapse prevention. They also learn about the root causes of addiction and how to identify and avoid triggers. Our clients leave treatment with a better understanding of themselves and the world around them.
In addition to inpatient treatment, we also offer outpatient programs and aftercare services. We want to provide guidance and support in any way possible to facilitate lasting recovery.
Outpatient Treatment Program
We realize that some clients aren’t able or willing to enter an inpatient program. They may have family or work obligations to consider. Therefore, we offer some options that may better serve their needs.
Our outpatient programs allow clients to live at home while they report to our facility for scheduled therapy sessions. Depending on the client’s situation, one of the following outpatient options may be appropriate for their circumstances:
- Partial Hospitalization (PHP). Clients will report at least five times a week for about eight hours each visit.
- Intensive Outpatient (IOP). Clients report for therapy three times a week for about four to six hours each visit.
Anyone who needs help overcoming addiction can benefit from our programs at Design for Change Recovery. We’ll work with you to create a recovery plan that is right for your unique needs and preferences.
Aftercare Programs
When our clients are ready to step back out into society and begin their new life, we want them to reach their full potential. We understand that it won’t be easy to manage the process without a little encouragement and advice now and then. For those reasons, we offer an aftercare program that offers continuing support and guidance during their transition period.
Our aftercare services can include helping former clients locate a sober living home, a 12-step program, or other outpatient therapy. We don’t want our existing clients to feel that they are all alone in their efforts to maintain sobriety through the challenges that lay ahead.

Reclaim the Life Addiction Tried to Steal from You
Many people have negative reactions when they hear the term rehabilitation. But, their reactions are usually based on stigma, lack of information, and hearsay. So, for those individuals, here is the true definition of rehabilitation:
Rehabilitation is:
“The action of restoring someone to health or normal life through training and therapy after imprisonment, addiction, or illness.”
That is what we strive to do at Design for Change Recovery. We help clients restore their physical, mental, and emotional health. In this way, they can develop the skills and motivation they need for living life to its fullest.
