Although San Fernando, CA is a beautiful, historic city and a desirable place to live, drug-related crime and overdoses are a significant problem. Due to this, many people in need of treatment look for rehab near San Fernando rather than within the city. They feel that a change in environment will increase their chances of recovery.
For those who seek addiction treatment near San Fernando, CA, Design for Change can help. We offer a full continuum of care that embraces innovative, evidence-based treatment modalities for any kind of addiction.
Some people fail to recover because their treatment plans are too rigid and impersonal. As a result, the targeted attention they needed was not provided during treatment. However, at Design for Change, we provide client-centered care for each individual in our program. As a result, our clients go forward to enjoy a fulfilling, substance-free lifestyle.
In our first encounter with a potential client, our intake advisor completes a comprehensive assessment. With this information, they tailor a treatment approach based on the client’s unique circumstances.
As part of our customized treatment approach, we offer gender-specific programs, faith-based or secular programs, and considerations for age, sexual orientation, physical health, and more.
We recognize each client as a truly unique individual. With this in mind, we ensure that they receive the respect and compassion they need and deserve.
Our mission at Design for Change is to help people accomplish more than just stop using drugs or alcohol. We strive to give them the tools, motivation, and self-confidence to maintain sober living. To accomplish this, we utilize therapies that help clients heal the co-occurring physiological, psychological, and spiritual factors involved. With this approach, clients regain self-esteem, improve physical health, and find empowerment outside themselves.
The components of our client-centric, full continuum of care include:
We understand the complex nature of addiction and tailor our programs to address all contributing elements concurrently for a positive, long-term outcome.
Substance use often arises due to a person’s need to cope with challenges in their life. During their time in our program, we help them cultivate more effective coping skills. With these skills, they can face issues rather than try to escape them.
The highly skilled, compassionate staff at Design for Change dedicate themselves to our client’s safety and comfort. They understand the emotional struggles experienced by a person in recovery. Because many of our staff have been through rehab themselves, they can truly empathize with clients. During this sensitive time, their advice and support are invaluable to clients as they work through the program.
Design for Change Recovery provides different levels of treatment to coincide with a client’s personal obligations. We realize that not everyone can enter a residential program due to work, school, family, or other issues. Therefore, we provide the following types of treatment:
Inpatient /Residential Programs – Provides a home-like environment where clients reside 24/7 for the length of their treatment plan. The programs may last 30, 60, or 90 days, or longer. These programs are for individuals with chronic relapse issues or for those who have severe addictions.
Outpatient and Intensive Outpatient Programs – Our outpatient programs adapt to a client’s schedule. The programs typically require clients to attend counseling and meetings one to three times per week. An intensive outpatient program (IOP) requires clients to attend sessions three to five days per week for about four to six hours per day.
Partial Hospitalization Programs – Requires clients to report for treatment five days per week for six to eight hours each visit. PHPs can last from two weeks to three months. Although PHPs are less restrictive than residential programs, they are not as flexible as outpatient programs.
We work closely with clients to ensure they get the right level of care for their unique needs and circumstances.
Research shows that only about 10% of people get the addiction treatment they desperately need. Because of this, Design for Change works with major insurance providers to help clients get affordable, effective treatment. These are in network with the following companies:
We will help clients verify their insurance upfront so they know what their financial contribution will be. This method helps avoid any misunderstandings about costs. And, it helps ensure that clients get the full range of benefits from their policy.
When choosing an addiction treatment program, it’s important to know whether the facility is licensed and accredited. What does this mean to you? It means the facility meets the highest standards in client safety and care.
